The hook side of the jig has less lead in it, making it
lighter, so when the fish inhales the jig, the hook side spins and goes
into the fishes mouth first. Meaning more fish caught. Early ice season
you use a larger size jig, but as winter wears on and the fish slow
down, keep using a smaller and smaller Marmooska jig.
